Our Wonky way

Doing everything we can to build biodiversity and enrich soil life. We have planted thousands of trees with more to come. The deliberate integration of trees and grazing livestock on the same land is what makes our farm unique. These systems are intensively managed providing both short- and long-term income. We believe that by encouraging and mimicking natural processes such as rotational grazing with cows and ducks to allow pasture to regenerate we are supporting a farming model that provides happy and healthy animals whiles it nurtures the entire ecosystem. This is the future of farming!

Our silvopasture Cider Orchard

In our Silvopasture we combine cider apple trees, Welsh Harlequin ducks and our heritage Fjällnära cows. The system merges cider production with livestock, providing shade, shelter and improved welfare while creating multiple income streams and increasing biodiversity. On top of that it contributes to ecological balance, increasing the population of pollinating insects, a permanent root system helps to retain water, store carbon dioxide and reduce eutrophication. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

“ Encouraging and mimicking the natural process in our own Wonky way .”

Building our Farm

We want to regenerate our tired grassland into a heritage cider orchard with deep living soil that creates a rich biodiverse ecosystem. To aid us in this endevaour we have our Fjällnära Cows and Welsh Harequin Ducks. We couldn’t do it without them.

Meet our Wonky Team

Quinn
& Linnea

Owners and cidermakers

For us our farm isn’t just a plot of land, its an ecosystem that works in harmony with the  soil, animals and trees. We are just the custodians of this land and want to do our very best to take care of our plot in the best heart we can for generations to come. We feel very fortunate to get to work together with our team to build our dream.

Ro, Louie & Billie

These sweet fluffballs watch over the daily activities and will take any attention you have, by force if needed. They love to be with on the farm and gives us a constant reminder to slow down for some snuggles.

Our wonderful gang of fjällnära cows keeps the grass in check and are always up for a brush and snuggle.

Gwen & the
