Our Wonky way
Doing everything we can to build biodiversity and soil carbon. We have planted thousands of additional trees to our farm. The deliberate integration of trees and grazing livestock operations on the same land. These systems are intensively managed for both forest products and forage, providing both short- and long-term income sources. “We have forgotten what our forebears used to do,” “Silvopasture was a huge part of farming. We relied on hedgerows to provide shelter and food. By encouraging and mimicking natural processes such as rotational grazing to allow pasture to regenerate; companion planting to counter pests; and doing everything they can to build biodiversity and soil carbon. Creating farming that nurtures the entire ecosystem from the soil up. The results is healthy, happy animals and fields bursting with life. Their nutrient-rich meat, eggs, vegetables and fruit are supplied to some of the best restaurants in the country and we are delighted to offer them to you from the farm.
