TRADITIONAL CIDER FARMING

in our own

wonky way

Our orchard is packed with cider apples

Our Cider Apples

Our orchard and nursery is filled with trees suitable for making cider, we actually have almost 70 different varieties to choose from. To make perfect cider we grow 6 categories of cider apples: sweets, sharps, bittersweets, bitter-sharps. bitter and red fleshed, perfect for making the tastiest of ciders.

Our Vision A Farm bursting with Life

In our orchard we completely rely on natural processes. We don’t use pesticides or spray our fields with fertilizers. Our trees are grafted on strong roots and will grow to be big beautiful only with the help of a healthy ecosystem. We use ducks and cows in the orchard to keep pests and weeds in check

Pasture raised ducks

Welsh Harlequin Ducks

Our ducks are out all year around on pasture and in our orchard they spend the majority of their life out in the sunshine living a normal, healthy, active life. From a moral perspective, pasture raised comes as close as it gets to the natural living conditions for ducks. Duck eggs are bigger, richer, and creamier than ordinary chicken eggs, and absolutely delicious

Happy Healthy Animals

Working closely to our animals is at the heart of what we do, our days are spent making sure that they are happy and healthy. We believe that our animals are the happiest when they get to spend their days outside grazing our lands doing what they want in a natural habitat. When our cows and ducks spend time in a pasture, they do more than just eat, they help improve the our soil and its biological activity. Healthy, nutritious food depends on healthy soil, for us that’s farming in harmony with nature

Our cows are always on pasture

Fjällnära Cows

We absolutely adore and love our beautiful cows, the joy of watching them graze and see them at their happiest in the middle of a fast growing field. Our cows are outside every day of the year with access to shelter from bad weather. They thrive on grass when it’s in growth and have free access to hay when the grass simply won’t grow.

Explore our world of cider apple trees

What sets us apart from other nurseries is that we grow the trees here at farm. Our fruit trees thrive from the roots to the crown. By controlling the entire process, we can offer competitive prices with products that are adapted to our climate. We currently have 70 different varieties of cider apple trees all with different flavor profiles. The only question you have to ask yourself is what kind you need for your cider? Currently we are only taking orders via email on request for next year.
